Journey into LIGHT-ness
Uplift your yoga practice by working with John Salisbury, as we uncover the foundations necessary for inversion and arm-balance confidence. Most people have a narrow understanding of how the body works upside down and in arm-balancing postures. We will break down the essence of specific poses, such as rotations of the limbs, how flexibility plays into these postures, and the nature of the bandhas (inner muscle contractions that help to stabilize energy).
This class will use sun salutation variations and flow to heat the body and prepare it for inversion work, while offering instruction on how to ground your poses through flexion and uplift with breath. Your breath is the fuel for flying in arm-balances. We will workshop inversions and arm-balances for beginners, intermediate, and advanced practitioners from a technical standpoint and offer modified postures as building blocks.

About “FIREPROOF”
At work, inside burning buildings, Capt. Caleb Holt lives by the old firefighter’s adage: Never leave your partner behind. At home, in the cooling embers of his marriage, he lives by his own rules.
Growing up, Catherine Holt always dreamed of marrying a loving, brave firefighter…just like her daddy. Now, after seven years of marriage, Catherine wonders when she stopped being “good enough” for her husband.
Regular arguments over jobs, finances, housework, and outside interests have readied them both to move on to something with more sparks.
As the couple prepares to enter divorce proceedings, Caleb’s father challenges his son to commit to a 40-day experiment: “The Love Dare.” Wondering if it’s even worth the effort, Caleb agrees-for his father’s sake more than for his marriage. When Caleb discovers the book’s daily challenges are tied into his parents’ newfound faith, his already limited interest is further dampened.
While trying to stay true to his promise, Caleb becomes frustrated time and again. He finally asks his father, “How am I supposed to show love to somebody who constantly rejects me?”
When his father explains that this is the love Christ shows to us, Caleb makes a life-changing commitment to love God. And with God’s help he begins to understand what it means to truly love his wife.
But is it too late to fireproof his marriage? His job is to rescue others. Now Caleb Holt is ready to face his toughest job ever…rescuing his wife’s heart.

Kids Night @ Yahweh Yoga
Friday April 30th 6pm - 7:30pm
Ages : 4-10
Cost per child: $10 for 1 or $15 for 2 or more
Kids yoga and movie night at Yahweh Yoga! Kids will have fun expressing themselves during the first 50 minutes of the night as they learn various yoga poses. Following yoga time bible lessons and stories will be read along with an art and craft project to finish up the evening. While the kids are being taken care of Mom and Dad can enjoy a nice dinner out! Class size is limited so call ahead to reserve your spot.
Kids can bring a water bottle, pillow, and wear comfy clothes to move around in. Mats will be provided at the studio.
This event will be taught by certified kids yoga instructor Tamara Buschel. She also holds a current CPR and First Aid certification.
